We're on a mission to make reading social again. Because the best stories are the ones we share.
How a simple book club problem became a mission to transform reading
In 2023, our founder Sarah was trying to organize her monthly book club. Between group texts, email chains, and scattered notes, she realized there had to be a better way to read together.
Existing platforms were either too public, too complicated, or just didn't capture the intimate, thoughtful nature of a good book club discussion.
So we built DustyShelves - a platform designed specifically for private, meaningful book club experiences.
"Reading is a conversation. All books talk. But a good book listens as well."
The principles that guide everything we do
We believe reading is better together. Every feature we build is designed to strengthen connections between readers.
Your book clubs are private spaces. We respect your conversations and never share your reading data.
We focus on meaningful discussions and thoughtful engagement, not endless scrolling.
Reading should be accessible to everyone. We design for all abilities and reading preferences.
